Please join us as we proudly celebrate and warmly welcome Dr. Jeannette Cook from SHRM! We’re excited to have her join us to share her expertise, insights, and perspective with our community.
In an era of constant change and competing perspectives, workplace civility is more important than ever. According to SHRM's Civility Index, 76% of U.S. workers reported experiencing or witnessing workplace incivility within the past month, underscoring the growing need for organizations to foster respectful, productive workplaces. Incivility doesn't just affect morale. It impacts employee well-being, productivity, collaboration, retention, and an organization's bottom line. This interactive session explores the current state of workplace civility, the hidden costs of uncivil behavior, and practical strategies leaders and HR professionals can use to strengthen workplace relationships, build trust, and create a culture rooted in respect and professionalism.
Participants will learn how to recognize common forms of workplace incivility, navigate difficult conversations with curiosity and empathy, and implement actionable strategies that strengthen relationships and improve team performance. Through real-world examples, self-reflection, and proven tools from SHRM's Civility Initiative, you'll leave equipped to lead meaningful conversations that bridge differences, inspire collaboration, and create a workplace where everyone can thrive.
